Our Story
The UP Visayas Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (UPV TTBDO) was institutionalized last June 10, 2019. This office was established in accordance with the UP Intellectual Property Rights Policy of 2011, specifically Article 9 of UP IPR Policy and runs parallel to similar developments in other constituent universities of UP.
The main function of UPV TTBDO encompasses supervision, management, and protection of disclosed works created or invented by UPV researchers and clients. Our duties also include assistance, facilitation and promotion and commercialization of UPV technologies among others. The office also serves to assist and coordinate with other universities on matters relating to intellectual property protection.
